Dove Hunting in the SPRING (September to December)
This is the time of year that we enjoy terrific weather in Cordoba and high-volume shooting close to the lodge. In early spring, high temperatures average in the mid 70sF and by late spring they may reach into the mid 80sF. Evening temperatures typically range from 50F to 60F.
Dove Hunting in the SUMMER (December to March)
During the summer months we enjoy our longest days of the year which allow hunters to enjoy a couple of extra hours of shooting each day. While days can be warm, temperatures rarely exceed the 90s degrees Fahrenheit and evening lows are usually around 60 degrees.
Dove Hunting in the FALL (March to June)
The fall happens to overlap with our heavy harvesting season in Cordoba. Doves can be quite active during this time as they flock from farm to farm looking for remaining crops. There are occasions when massively intense concentrations of birds converge on a property resulting in what is called a “dove hurricane”. Daytime temperatures are usually a comfortable 65 – 70 degrees Fahrenheit and evening temperatures can drop to between 45 and 55 degrees.
Dove Hunting in the WINTER (June to September)
The winter in Cordoba is usually very moderate and arid with little rain. We enjoy sunny skies throughout much of the season, making for ideal dove hunting conditions. Daytime highs range between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit, with lows in the mid 40’s.
