Getting to the lodge
Argentina sits on the South American sub-continent, bordering the Southern Atlantic Ocean, with Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay as neighbours. Its continental area runs between the Andes in the west and the Atlantic in the east.
The dove hunting season is open year-round, and the shooting can be spectacular any day of the year. Use the three guides below to work out when to come, which lodge suits you, and how to get here from your city.
Airport to lodge
COR — Córdoba → Sierra Brava Lodge
Cordoba, the capital of Córdoba province and Argentina's second largest city, sits at the northern tip of a triangle between Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires. Sierra Brava Lodge rests 62 miles (100 km) north of Córdoba International Airport — about 1 hour 10 minutes by road.
Sometimes there are direct flights from EZE (Buenos Aires International) to Córdoba; other times you will change airports and fly domestically from AEP Aeroparque. The two airports are 55 minutes apart and we can help you make the transfer.
SFN or PRA — Santa Fe / Paraná → Rio Bravo Lodge
Santa Fe and Paraná are only an hour from Buenos Aires by plane. Your domestic flight departs from AEP, and you may land in either city — whichever suits your schedule. From there we pick you up and drive 2 hours 15 minutes to Rio Bravo Lodge, in the town of San Javier.
CPC — San Martín de los Andes → Bravo Sur Lodge
San Martín de los Andes is in the province of Neuquén, northern Patagonia. To get there you fly from EZE (only a few flights a week) or AEP (daily flights) to CPC. Once you land, we pick you up and drive 1 hour 15 minutes to the town of Aluminé, where Bravo Sur Lodge sits and the trout fishing begins.
